Stylized Moroccan Courtyard
Date Created
September 2025 - November 2025
Location
Savannah, GA
This environment was created as a focused exploration of material creation and surface detail. With a growing interest in refining my ZBrush workflow, I used this project as an opportunity to develop tileable textures and ornamental patterns directly in ZBrush. Drawing inspiration from my architectural history coursework at the Savannah College of Art and Design, I chose a Moroccan courtyard setting for its rich use of geometric motifs, handcrafted tilework, and layered materials.
The scene emphasizes texture-driven storytelling, showcasing trim sheets alongside materials authored in Adobe Substance Designer and Painter. Lighting was carefully considered to accentuate surface depth, pattern repetition, and material variation, allowing the textures to remain the focal point of the environment.
